Ernest Earl “Ernie� Nickels, 52, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011.
Ernie worked for JC Construction. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole L. (Hensley) Nickels, who was the love of his life, and his father and mother, Lovell and Wilma Nickels.
Ernie is survived by his brother, Richard “Rick�; sisters, Vanessa, Barbara, Peggy, and Dianna; daughter, Terri; son, Travis; step-children, Thomas, Tracey, Teresa, and Tonya; and mother-in-law, Bobby.
Due to Ernie’s wishes, he was cremated, and there will be no funeral services. There will be a memorial service at a later date to share fond memories of Ernie, who was also a huge NASCAR fan of Jeff Gordon.
